Tenant accused of manslaughter
We found out today that one of the tenants on a lease has been accused of manslaughter. His court date is in early Dec, but if he is found guilty, could that cause terms for an eviction?
Upon move in, none of the tenants had criminal charges populate in the background check.

You do realize that the first court date is just one of many and these things can go on for many years before there is a decision? And with COVID if he asks for a jury trial its likely he won't be in trial court for a few years? At least where I am they can not do jury trials, no way to space the folks 6 feet apart in the courtroom or deliberation chamber. And because the jails are crowded they do not like to hold them in jail either.
My guess is that the lease will run out before he has any movement.
