great event.. Bruce Norris was worth the cost of admission.  some take aways from his presentation.

1. No major melt down in the near future.

2. mortgage market much stronger for obvious reasons  ( no liar loans real world underwriting)

3. markets would need 40% of the inventory on MLS to be foreclsoures to cause a major correction ( this is not happening).

4. He feels cap rates and multi family is the one segment that is frothy and could correct.

5. in a subtle way he was saying when profits avail themselves it can be good to take it off the table.

Whats he doing now... his normal short term lending and he is now building some new construction.. as that is exactly what I do.. I felt like I was personally on the right track as well.. Great presentation.

    @Sergey Tkachev,

    Gonna be great to see you again! One of the Summit's biggest fans :)

    @Elisa Uribe, thanks for the shout out :) I really enjoy getting everyone together to network and learn :) (especially in Oakland!) Just wish it wasn't so much work! lol

    @Alice K., Glad I got to see you while I was back in the Bay, and looking forward to meeting your brother too :)

    @Mary Ann Casey, "..This was an impressive and worthwhile event last year plus a lot of fun, so everyone should mark this on their calendars as a must-attend event. @J.Martin you gonna bring your ukulele?"

    Thanks for the big endorsement Mary Ann :) And for your help. And YES, I'll be bringing my ukulele :)

    @Nichole Stohler,
    I have you down for two tickets! Glad you can make it out from Scottsdale! :)  I don't know a lot of folks out in the Phoenix area either, but hopefully we can get some folks to visit from out there, and I'm sure you'll have some people picking your brain on that market too :)

    I'm also happy to see so many awesome women jumping in on the event! :) Like so many industries, there are not enough women in real estate!

    Quick question, trying to get a ticket and there's a cash option. How does that work? Do I pay at the door?

     Let's see, 2 days of education, networking, and consumption of adult beverages or just one day? Tough decision. See you there.

    @Elisa Uribe, you're confirmed! I'll be in Seattle most of the summer, but hopefully will see you at a meetup before the event..

    @Vinny Vu, I think @Will Barnard hit it on the head! Great networking, education, drinks.. with awesome people. These people are only together once a year. And as @Sergey Tkachev said, you'll get exponentially more out of it - spending more time making and solidifying relationships.  Make both days if you can!  (and saw you got a "cash" ticket - buy with cc for super pre-sale price.)

    Will, so stoked to have you out this year! You've been on my list since I did the first event in 2014. Thanks for coming out to share and meet with your fans ;)  You mentioned the biggest challenge is finding flip deals. Anything you see as a big opportunity in today's market?

    @Jenifer Levini,
    "I'm there. I love this event."
    The event loves you Jen! ;)  Nice seeing you in Santa Cruz at Shane's meetup a few weeks ago. Looking forward to seeing you again in Oct if not sooner.

    @Chatree C.,
    We corresponded by email, and you're all set now, paid by card. Sorry for the confusion.

    @Kelly Byrd and @Victoria Byrd,
    You're confirmed with a 2-day and 1-day ticket, respectively. Welcome out to the event, and to the RE investing world..! And congrats on getting in contract on your first property. Hopefully you'll make a BP post about your deal and share the link on this forum so folks can see what you're up to.. Any particular speaker or topic you are interested in learning more about at the Summit?

    @Jen L.,

    Glad you can make it! This 3rd Summit will be the best yet! :)

    @Adam London and @Senika Levias,
    The super-pre-sale price expires after tomorrow (Sat, 7/22), so jump on it if you want the cheapest ticket prices! Senika, jump in with Adam! Or Adam, share the event with your Facebook friends to get some more on board ;)

    Senika,
    I'm excited too! It's such a great group of people. Please reach out to anyone who's been :)
    You'll hear the same ;)

    Excited to be coming back to this awesome venue, with lots of space for networking, 2 speaking stages, and happy hour drinks!! ;)

    Is there a summit similar to this in the LA area? I am mostly interested in Crowdfunding/Syndication cash flowing deals similar to the ones on Crowdstreet and RealCrowd. I also own about 21 houses in the NE Ohio area and am wondering if flying up to Oakland and staying in a hotel will be worth it for me in terms of additional education?

    @Glen Fagin, I would say the answer really depends on what your goals are and whether you intend to take action after the event using the knowledge and contacts you gain.  And I would also argue that education isn't the only highlight of the event - networking is a HUGE part of the summit, which can't be obtained elsewhere, unlike education.  Having said that, it's hard for me to imagine any of the past guests regretting coming to the summit, even the ones who came from LA :)

    @Glen Fagin I flew in from Ohio last year and don't regret a minute of it.

    @Jason Hsiao,
    Thanks for the tags, and all your help on the email campaigns! :)
    This Summit is going to rock!!

    @Kurt Rieschel,
    It's been a blast the last 2 years we did it!!
    (On top of the awesome education and networking)
    Talk to anyone who's been and you'll get an earful ;)

    @Glen Fagin

    I don’t think there’s anything quite like it, with all these BP folks, in the LA area. But sounds like I was able to answer your questions over PM, and I received your payment for the 2 days. You’re all set Glen! There should be some other folks coming up from Orange County and San Diego also. When we launch the networking app, will be easier to get in touch.

    @Sergey Tkachev
    Thanks for the shout-out! And you’re absolutely right.  @Jake Knight said the same!

    @Ryan Arth,
    We had such a great group from around the country last year! I know it's a long way from Akron, Ohio. But hope you can make it again :)

    @Anton Taylor
    Happy early birthday! Tickets are on pre-sale now, if you want to save some money for your birthday. Don’t waste it buying a ticket later! Come grab me during happy hour on Saturday and I’ll buy you your first drink Anton! ;) I saw in your PM you're in Oakland, but had Elk Grove listed on your profile. You’ll also be in good company with some folks coming down from Sacramento, like Sergey Tkachev, @Al Williamson and the rest of the Sac crew.. Lots of local folks from Marin down to San Jose, and everything in between too..
