Motel Investing & Going Contactless

Hi All, I'm calling out to everyone that has been investing in motels and hear more about their experience with it. I'd love to know if anyone has bought a small motel or inn, 6-20 units, and been able to turn it into a 100% contactless business. I want to hear about the challenges of that and how you've overcome it. Cheers!

@Dan Weber we did this successfully for a 7 unit (detached) cottage beach motel project.  (CottagesKW.com) .  Former owners were on site.  We went electronic locks and we have a full time person who manages from about 30 minutes away. So far has been successful. However, just purchased a 38 unit and looking for best options to replace old school key locks. We are thinking more of a key card system instead of 38 individual door locks. Or at least some way to "network" them so easier to manage 38 doors.  Love to know if anyone has any input on best software/door lock combo for medium size beach motels.
