What are your favorite linens?

Question

Curious what this crew likes for bed linens & towels for STR/MTR properties? I can simply look at reviews on Amazon, but I want to hear what the pro's currently think. Would love a link to your products if possible.

Ok @Andrew Bosco, first thing, avoid Sateen weave if you can. Percale weave is the way to go. Crisp and much more durable. All it takes is one crusty heal to ruin a 600tc Sateen weave sheet.

2nd, I would highly suggest a 70/30 cotton/poly blend. Unless you are doing a $2000 a night place, these are the best. They wash up nice, don't require ironing and are tough. Make sure they don't get washed with bleach. Bleach binds with oils and makes them yellow.

Now, we use the Kohl's Big One Easy Care 275tc sheets - https://www.kohls.com/product/...

They are often on sale and easy to get at any Kohls either in store or online. They wash up great, are tough, sleep great and long lasting. We are still using the original ones we bought 5 years ago. Still look great. Highly recommended.

Next is towels. Costco Grandeur Hospitality towels in white. They are great. They don't create much lint, are soft after a few washings and just work. They take bleach well and even direct bleach to get a gnarly stain doesn't faze them.

Beach towels (if needed) are any in cool fun colors. Just get them at the end of the season for cheap. I get them for less than $5 each (most are under $3). These go missing most for us. I assume kids just toss 'em in their bags when they head out not thinking.

The linen that takes the most abuse are pillowcases. Buy extras in the 70/30 or 60/40 blend. You can buy a bulk pack on eBay for pretty cheap. That can give you or your cleaners time to soak the Kohls pillowcases to get them nice and white.

Seriously, that's it, CLEAN. I have never once gone into any property and thought "Oh, look at that, it's not 1,200 thread count Egyptian cotton.".    But I have walked in a place, and literally said "nope" turned around and walked out, checked out because I thought it looked nasty.

For bath towels...

I use these for my nice-ish property where towels actually last.  They're not anything special, but just a little better than the super basic towels: https://www.amazon.com/gp/prod...

For my Disney property, where guests lose towels by the dozen (the area is notorious for it), I just get the basic Sams Club ones that are $29 for a pack of 6.

Utopia Bedding on Amazon gets high marks around here. Do not get AmazonBasics towels, they need to be laundered 5-10 times before they stop dropping a ton of lint.
