App suggestions for self managing STR

I have one rental that I have rented out for the past 4 years using Evolve.  I'm looking at self-managing and would be interested in suggestions for apps to sink calendars between Airbnb and VRBO.  Also open to suggestions for dynamic pricing apps.  

A few other questions:

1.  Best way to screen prospective guests?

2. How about damage insurance?

One property - just use the Vrbo and Airbnb apps.

I don't screen guests. Do you think hotels run a background check on every one that stays there?

Just get the correct STR insurance.
