Hard copy ledger to record short term rental

Going nuts here. I just want to write down who/when/for how long/security deposit/rent paid in a simple ledger I can glance at. I'm only renting out one room in my home, posting on FF, and just finding a simple receipt to send via text has been overly complicated. The ledgers I've seen (that are reasonably priced) don't break down income the above way that accounts for almost-monthly changes in the renters. I realize this sounds very Luddite, but I need this available for tracking while I'm learning online spreadsheets or whatever works best.
