Going nuts here. I just want to write down who/when/for how long/security deposit/rent paid in a simple ledger I can glance at. I'm only renting out one room in my home, posting on FF, and just finding a simple receipt to send via text has been overly complicated. The ledgers I've seen (that are reasonably priced) don't break down income the above way that accounts for almost-monthly changes in the renters. I realize this sounds very Luddite, but I need this available for tracking while I'm learning online spreadsheets or whatever works best.

I'm renting out one room on FF. I have yet to find a simple spreadsheet ( or not) to enter 

monthly income, not expenses,  along with name of tenant just to track. A way to enter deposits would help.

Really glad to stumble onto this thread ( although late!). I've posted recently on FF and am overwhelmed at what look like scams- guys who have no profiles, dicey stats, etc.. It's been discouraging and a bit scary. One has slammed back at me saying he doesn't like to post personal information. Once I recovered, it's clear that these are scams- but I wasn't expecting it. I'm glad you, Chris, made it clear that I can indeed ask whatever I want for my own protection- I copied your suggestions. I thought I'd have to go straight to Keylock to have the inquirer vetted- after a certain number, that'll cost me. Really needed a/this forum!
