Best keypad for Airbnb

Justin Melton
Posted

I know this has been answered, but we just purchased a home that we are going to use as an airbnb.  There is already a nest doorbell and smoke detector.  I would also like to get one of those devices to monitor for smoke and noise (not sure what to get for this either)

What recommendations do you have for a deadbolt keypad that I can change out the code for each new guest?

Thank you in advance for your input!

Hey @Justin Melton, we have the Schlage Connect lock. The Schlage Encode is also good.

I like the Connect as it uses the Z wave connection vs WiFi. Batteries in those units last much longer than WiFi due to the wattage of the radio.

You can hitch the Nest to Z Wave but it is a bit of a chore.

You can also use the Minut sensor does a ton of stuff including cigarette smoke, noise etc.

It is considered the standard for STR monitoring.
