Need clarification on cc&r
Hi, I’m trying to get into str, I have a place with an hoa. I read their cc&r and the only thing I found that relates to rentals is a line that reads
“Property shall be used for residential purposes only”
But I’ve reached out to the hoa and was told
"Our HOA regulations say single family home which means No vrbo or short term rentals."
I’m getting confused since I’m fairly certain that single family home doesn’t mean what they think it means. Any help would be appreciated

If the HOA told you upfront they don't allow short term rentals, and you're going to buy and use it for that anyways.....just remember when they fine you $5k, $10k, $20k that you will have no one else to blame but yourself.
