Westport and Grayland WA STRs

I would like to know if anyone local or nationwide has invested on the WA coast (primarily Grays Harbor county). I would especially like to know your experience on running STRs in Westport and Grayland WA. I know that there is a surge of restrictions on STRs in many cities/counties nationwide. What have been your pivot strategies? Share any input you have. Thanks!

Hey @Anastasia Osorio, so we have looked in that area off and on for a while. One rule we have is we don't invest in WA state. Too landlord friendly etc etc. Even for STRs.

We almost bought a place near Ocean Shores but they decided not to sell then did sell so we missed out. It was an operating STR already and it was doing well but them's the breaks.

Inventory isn't real high along the coast there but there are some places. Unlike other areas on the WA/OR coast it is often quite a walk to the beach from an "ocean front" property but it ain't bad.

Nightly rates are on the lower side so I am not sure how well it would pencil out.

Did you mean too Tenant Friend?

I don't know how you could be too Landlord friendly. If so, do tell.

I meant TENANT friendly. So sorry!
