First STR Property setup questions ROUND (2)

Keith Kotsch
Posted

Hi all,

We just closed on our first STR property (DFW NORTH TEXAS) and am excited to start setting up our property!

Some specifics please....

Regarding cleaning crews for STR….

- Could you walk me thru an example of your interview and hiring process for STR specific crews in your area?

ie: what questions you ask when interviewing, qualifications/ traits that are MUST HAVES.

- Pay by job/each visit OR by hour?

- Do you issue W-9’s

-What accounting software do you use?

- Do your cleaning crews do laundry OR is that a separate service you all have?

This group is the best!

Thanks

Keith

Pay by the job.

Should give them a 1099.

Get referrals and recommendations.

Make sure they have cleaned STRs before.

It would be go if they are a team or part of a company so that their are built in backups. What happens if they can't clean for one of your turnovers?
