Best cleaning solutions you have used?

Question

Hi all just curious as we begin working closely with our cleaners on our FIRST STR (woohoo!)

What are some of your best cleaning products you have used or require your cleaners to use?

Kitchen countertop cleaners (NOT GRANITE)?

Tile floor cleaner?

Cooking appliances grease etc.?Scented unscented ?

All natural vs other?

No idea. I just hire people who know what they're doing. I then let them do it and just write checks.

Hire cleaners with vetted STR experience, they'll know what to do.  Little to no scent, guests usually do not like strong fragrance (allergies or they think you are hiding something).  Good luck and congrats on your first STR!

I'm kind of a clean freak so I can share a few things I like on a personal level that were mostly found on tiktok from STR cleaners:

-Sprayway glass cleaner: works great and inexpensive too

-Odoban: like a Febreze, my former home housekeeper used it, it has a scent which I really like

-Rocco & Roxie for pet stains

-Weiman Stainless steel cleaner for fridge, microwave etc.

-ScrubMommy sponge: less expensive version in square works great. I use soft side on quartz with a little dish soap.

-Swedish dish towels a washable chamois type cloth instead of paper towels. I dampen and use on glass or to dust

-Long handle sticky roll for beds, sofas and bathroom floors. Picks up more hair than you can imagine.

-While I'm at it I provide a few starter dog waste bags at my STR: HoundScoop they are excellentUnfortunately no affiliations with any of the companies but if they see this and want to send me a freebie I'm all for it lol.

I let my cleaners clean how they know best.  I don't tell them what to use. Some guests are sensitive to scents, so I wouldn't want them to use anything with a lingering scent.  My husband uses Fabuloso here at home, and I can't stand the smell of that, it stays around for hours.  But when I go to my STR after the cleaners have left, I don't smell any scent, so that's good.

I do leave both regular laundry detergent and dryer sheets, and unscented of both for guests.
