Water Heater for STR

Jen Geisler
Posted

I'm in the process of buying a STR on the coast. It's a three bedroom house with one bathroom (hoping income will assist with a second bathroom at some point). The current water heater is a frightening 33 years old and needs to be replaced. Use will be busy, almost daily during the short summer months, but only a small spattering of weekends in the winter. Hoping to find a good balance between the two needs and not sure which would be more financially beneficial. Any advise on what hot water heater would be best?

Replied

I have a wifi Rheem water heater at one STR.

I can remotely turn it on or put it in vacation mode. I can also remotely adjust the temperature.
