Has anyone ever listed with bookholidayrentals.com

Question

Hello BP!Has anyone ever listed with bookholidayrentals.com for their STR property? I have a listing up on VRBO & Airbnb for one of my Las Vegas condos and I get a message from a guy requesting dates and asking for my phone number for more information on the property. I end up giving him my number and it ends up being a salesman trying to get me to list with the Book Holiday Rentals company. He pretty much says he will have your property listed with all the big guys in the overseas markets. Has anyone ever listed with them? If so are they any good? I have attached a link to the packages that they offer. I know VRBO offers a similar package so you don't have to pay the booking fees for a whole year but it sounds like with this company you are paying for advertisement.

@Jonathan Safa I've used airbnb exclusively with my beach location in the warmer months and I agree with you. But then again, I've never tried any of the others. I am thinking of using only airbnb for my new FL sfh in an in-demand location (closing in a month). I was quoted a 21% rate from a vacation property mgr in the area who promotes across the board (and charges me the set-up costs for that too). What's different is that it's about 1000 miles from my primary. I'm very comfortable with booking and advertising on my own but not so with the cleanings in between. I'm trying to decide that now and seeking feedback from people like you.

Basically, I'm wondering what's going to be different by offering it up in several sites when airbnb does seemingly well.

This site gets near-zero traffic, so I can't see how it could deliver bookings for you.

Never heard of them. I think it’s a wise strategy to try to establish your listing on Airbnb, Verbo / HomeAway, and maybe even TripAdvisor (which seems to have totally stumbled In their integration for flipkey and booking.com which is clunky but a potential future giant in the space). My experience has been massive swings in share between Airbnb and Verbo / HomeAway  year to year and I definitely believe I have more total bookings as a result of having both. A bad review, cancelled booking, or something else can certainly impact your search placement results... so it’s best not to have all your eggs in one basket. I do see Airbnb as a slicker product and strengthening their position in my market which was not their traditional space (higher end rental in mexico).

I did list with them... cost me $495... no results so far, started late last year... I think it is a scam... The guys used the name of Justin Smith... not really his name... was answering my phone calls... now that i am requesting a refund, nobody answers my call and emails... TOTAL SCAM.... stick with the VRBO of the world.
