Short Term Rentals - Camera Surveillance

Very interesting article discussing the impact and potential for abuse of STR owners using recording devices to monitor tenants during their stay. Not sure what the long term answer is here, other than working towards greater transparency and filtering out of bad actors on both sides. Maybe some aspects of long term rentals could be further incorporated, like higher damage deposits and more thorough tenant background checks?
