Almost %100 completed with construction on a fully renovated and fully furnished SFH . This SFH is located in the sticks! While attempting to put insurance on the property we told the insurance company this SFH would be used for short term rental/ airb&b. The insurance company informed us that NO coverage was available for the property with this certain criteria. The only option available was a landlord policy for tenant occupancy with a minimum of 6 months . Wow! Any suggestions? The insurance company was Geico and list of their partners. At that point and time we attempted to put insurance on the home was the beginning of construction. Now getting very near completion we need coverage that meets our needs for this property.

What do you use for insurance companies on properties ?

Any specific policy details that we need to make sure are included?

I have Foremost, it was much cheaper than CBIZ or Proper.
