Curious if anyone goes  extra lengths to put out some type of welcome basket for each guest?  

Does anyone put out a bottle of wine for guests?  any liability on doing so?

is it cost effective to do this?

Any day now I plan to put out a basket of chocolate, peanuts, candy, pillow chocolates, shampoo, etc. I've been planning this for a year and a half  :)
