I'm intrigued by what TurnoverBnB offers, but wonder if any of our folks have any reviews or experience using the platform?

Google has an excellent calendar. Drop you airbnb and vrbo calendar URLs into a google calendar and give your cleaner the password. Never bother with it again.

@Scott Simmons ironically found this thread while looking for alternatives to TurnoverBnB. I'm a paying customer now since I'm using it on more than one property, but am strongly considering dropping in favor of YourPorter's built in cleaning lists, since that's what I'm using for overall PM. Just leery of pulling that trigger given Porter's acquisition by overpriced the overpriced Guesty service.

@Luke Carl and I were chatting on this topic a week ago and it seems like the more cleaners you have assigned/available for a specific property the more a product like TurnoverBnB (where cleaners can be assigned/de-assigned from a property) may make sense. As Luke mentioned above, they've setup a cleaner "marketplace" where they connect you with local cleaners then take a percentage cut of the overall fee. Both cleaners I've used off that marketplace have been trainwrecks: one overcharging on an agreed upon price and refusing to pay back an accidental double payment, another showing up after midnight for a cleaning the next day because she was pulled over for a DUI and needed a place to hide out (can't make this stuff up).

Beyond the marketplace, the app is terrible: buggy, slow, and with an interface that's dated. It also appears to pull most of its functionality from a "free" app/service called Taskbird that handles the actual team assignments (which perhaps someone should just build a better app on top of). Unfortunately, Taskbird's not much better: the in-app integration with TurnoverBnB is nonfunctional and the integrated "support chat" option that's there to help with issues like that doesn't actually work because the Send button's MIA!

In short, TurnoverBnB provides an essential service for STR investors with better things to do that coordinate cleaning jobs, so long as you're OK with a poor app experience and OK finding your own cleaners versus using theirs.

Anyone know of other services in this space for cleaner/turnover coordination (that doesn't involve overpaying for a full PM suite)?

I have it for my properties I really like it as my cleaners have the app and they can clean when they are done they hit complete and i get an alert and don’t have to worry about the communication part. I use my own cleaners so I do not pay them to use their cleaners. If you cleaner is somewhat tech savvy they will probably like for coordinating. It makes that part really easy.

All of these cleaning horror stories make me think I've just gotten lucky, because I don't have that many STRs.  I have hired spouses from the local military base that need part-time work.  SmartBnB automatically texts them when a new cleaning is scheduled and it has been pretty seamless.  I do like the idea of them clicking a button in the app that lets me know the cleaning has been completed, but then again...isn't that just micromanagement?

I VERY rarely allow early check-ins (because why?) and if I'm concerned about it being cleaned on-time, then I think I'm way too involved in every cleaning.  Just thinking it through myself...

Used to be decent for the calendar feature. They're trying to make money off finding you a cleaner but it doesn't work in my market. Use facebook marketplace or the Enemy Method. Enemy Method
