Hello everyone my name is chibueze but i go by chip, I am  fairly new to real estate my wife and I just purchased our first home and working on the second. The second property will be listed as a second home to get a better interest rate but this property will be used as a long term rental. My question is how do I go about renting it out to a tenant long term while also following the guideline sent by IRS.

Thanks for any feedback.

    Replied

Your asking about a long term lease in the STR (Short Term Rental) forum.

If your not planning on staying in your second home at all, then this is mortgage fraud.
