Hi, I have some pre-foreclosure leads and I'd like to go knock on the homeowner's doors to see if they want to talk about selling. However, I've read that some states now have regulations that don't allow you to do this, and I have no idea which states those are. Anyone know how to find out where Alabama falls on this?
I have never heard of it being against the law. Maybe some neighborhoods or cities would have ordinances. Check with Alabama Real Estate Commission legal department. Or, just keep knocking till you get ran off!! Watch out for dogs.
@Kayla Mueller havn't heard that one-- but if you have some good wholesale deals- send them my way. I work with a few TK providers in Alabama and would love to forward some deals if you find them! They usually like ARV over $75k min. Thanks!
In AL you may get shot. Especially Mobile.
I haven't heard of it being against the law either. I have sales people come to my door every once in a while for security systems, etc. Just always be careful especially if you are alone while door knocking!
@Laura Verderber I'm not afraid of being shot, thankfully, haha. More afraid of making people mad.
Thanks for the input, everyone!
