Hey everyone!

I am a 25 year old living in SoCal - working full time. In September of 2016 I decided I didn't want to work for someone else forever, so I started saving up roughly 2000 a month to work towards my first real estate purchase! I am currently sitting at about 9300 (because life still happens) and I am working on getting educated in real estate so that I can make my "work for yourself" dream come true.

I am currently catching up on the podcast (focusing on ones that pertain to me or catch my eye) and I am reading Rich Dad, Poor Dad. Any other suggestions for education?

Any suggestions for where to look in California? (LA is a bit out of my price range :P)

Thanks for being such an amazing community- I just got started and I feel supported already!

Farah Zerehi my biggest suggestion for you would be to work hard and save more money. RE needs a lot of capitals and SoCal even so. Creative financing opportunities exist but they require knowledge and experiences. House hacking and FHA (or VA if you qualify) is your pal. Wish it helps!
