Inspector And Investor

Hello all,

I am a real estate inspector who recently started investing in real estate. I work primarily in Northern Colorado and love what I do. I am still exploring ways how my background in inspections could be used toward investing so would appreciate any tips on suggestions of strategies you all think I should use. I’ve started off with buying equity in a new build that cash flows as a mid term rental. Would love everyone else’s thoughts on how you think an inspector can utilize their skills to grow an investment portfolio. Thank you!

Hey @Josh Goertzen - It's been a minute, good to see you've been busy! We should catch up soon but here's an initial thought I had when I first read this. For many investors, one of the biggest challenges is scaling. Eventually you'll run out of money or lending potentials on your own which is usually when many investors start looking to partner up. Your skills as an inspector are a huge value add! If you can find a partner with the capital and/or lack of time, you can become that go to person on the team to make sure you are making solid decisions on the buy side, especially if your partners are out of state.

Just one thought of many but let's definitely find a time to meetup again soon!
