Multifamily Owner Working On First Syndication

Richard Rafferty
Posted

Hello Bigger Pockets,

I am a 27 year old Airline Pilot living in Pittsburgh, PA. I purchased my first property in April of 2024. It is a triplex and I have been living in the bottom unit. Now that the property has been renovated, I have recently been applying my efforts toward starting a syndication to scale up to the purchase of larger properties. My main hope from being a part of this group is to learn from investors or syndicators that are more experienced than I am. Specifically I would love additional guidance when it comes to the process of forming a syndication to purchase apartment buildings. I have read multiple books on the subject but I am lacking someone in my life that has already walked through the process.

Any input helps,

Thanks

My recommendation is to partner with th someone who has a lot more experience before jumping into a syndication after owning one property for less than a year. Raising capital with your existing track record is going to be extremely challenging. Even those with long track records are strugggling to raise $ as well as break even on deals
