Hey everyone, I’m Omar H. — excited to finally join the BiggerPockets community.

I recently graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor’s in Construction Science and a minor in Business. I earned my real estate license at 18, and since then I’ve been building my career in both construction and real estate investing.

Over the past few years, I’ve been focused on building new‑construction duplexes in Houston, leasing them out, managing tenants, and learning the business from the ground up. I currently have two duplexes that I built last year, and they’ve stayed in my portfolio longer than planned. Carrying them has definitely been part of my learning curve, but the experience has helped me sharpen my systems and understand what it really takes to operate and exit projects successfully.

Right now, I’m looking to off‑load both of these new‑construction duplexes. They’re fully built, clean, and located in strong rental pockets in Houston — great fits for investors or house‑hack buyers. I’m also finishing another duplex that will be hitting the market soon.

I’m here to connect with other investors, builders, and operators — to learn, share what I’ve picked up, and keep leveling up. Always open to networking and talking deals, construction, or anything real‑estate related.

Omar, welcome to the BP community. You have a solid background and you are already ahead by building and holding your own projects. Those lessons on carry and exit strategy are where the real growth happens. You may also want to connect with a local REIA group to expand your buyer pool and network with investors who may be a fit for your duplexes.
