Hello from NYC (Queens)!

I'm a newbie who has been stalking the BiggerPockets forum, and finally decided I should create an account.  I've been reading a lot about investing in rental properties and am very interested in jumping in.  I didn't think it was possible, since I live in such an expensive area where the numbers don't make sense.   Well, I've been learning about long-distance turnkey investing and have been considering areas such as Buffalo, New York and possibly Philly (both due to the proximity to NYC and because I know people there).
