I came across BP a few weeks back and I've been addicted ever since.  Such a great community and resources.  I sold my first rental property a few years ago and now I'm ready to jump back in.  I'm fortunate enough to be self employed which gives me more flexibility with my time and allows me to jump out to view new listings and oversee project progress.  In general just be more hands on I guess.

My plan is to hopefully get my feet wet with a couple flips and then slowly start building a rental portfolio.   My focus areas are going to be mostly Johnson County, Wyandotte, Waldo, Hyde Park, and other areas (except warzones).

BP seems like a great place to get connected with other local and out of state investors to build a network of resources, partnerships, and friendships.  I'm really excited I came across this site and I'm looking forward to getting started!

Welcome to Biggerpockets!

We are slowly building a rental portfolio. We both work full time so we use are W2 incomes and salary's to leverage our money. As long as you have 2 years of income being self employed you should be able to do the same thing. We invest in class A investments. This lets us manage them from afar. Our margins are smaller but so our are vacancies and expenses. We have done very well from finding unique niches that work for us.

If there is anyone that you connect with, check out there blog in the signature. Many of us including myself talk about our niche, business model, etc. This is a great way for you to learn more!

I look forward to seeing you around bigger pockets and connecting further on other posts on the forums.
