Newb from Boston area

Hi everyone,

I'm Shane and I live in Framingham, MA. I am currently unemployed and considering going to school for radiologic technology (ie, x-ray technician). I'd like to learn about REI and -potentially, possibly, hopefully- find a way to make that my primary source of income. I'm a total newb though, so if that's even a possibility it's far down the road.

I originally found Biggerpockets after going to a Fortune Builders "seminar" this past weekend. After being given the pitch for the 5-figure mastery program (cheapest level: 20k), I left early to do some research and found this site instead. Seems like a much more price ;).

I'm looking forward to meeting other newbs and experienced investors. It seems like there's a lot of knowledge here, and I'm grateful I found this community.

Shane

@Shane Knopf Welcome.

@Aaron Coplin Hold on to your wallets boys!

I have a lot of newer folks come to my meetings, just north of Boston, Massachusetts. Unfortunately some arrive tapped out from Seminars.

The universal cause seems to be they get "off-track" with their "Coach". Usually the 2nd or 3rd time there is an unpleasant task (e.g. go Door Knocking or Driving for Dollars and meet actual Owners) they do not do it and lie to the Coach. This continues. they get further and further from their goal and quit!

If you decide on a Seminar, Do EXACTLY what the Coach says and hold them responsible for the results that got you in to it!
