Just wanted to introduce myself to the BP forum. I am so glad that I stumbled upon this website today! My wife and I are extremely new to real estate investing, and we are excited to learn as much as we can. We have been talking about buying a rental property, or getting into flipping but haven't found the right information to guide us along. We are a young couple just getting started and we know that real estate has the ability (if done correctly) to provide us with an income that will allow us to to the things we want to do, rather than the things we "have" to do.

I am excited and eager to learn more about different types of real estate investing, and it is so helpfull to have such a wonderful resource like BP to refer to when I have questions.

Welcome!

I am a buy and hold investor. We got started young through investing in primaries and renting them out. We saved money by sharing with roommates, that is how we got the pot of money to buy our first house. We invested in our careers and saved one salary and live off the other. As we started to progress we bought pure rentals and have continued ever since. We don't follow the typical 1%, 2% or 50% rule. We invest for the long term with the hopes of early retirement in 15 years.

This is a great website, the only thing that everyone have in common is that everyone invests in real estate. Beyond that everyone has their own niche or strategy. You should also check out the blogs, podcasts, and forums. Another great resource is personal website/blog. Many of us including myself talk about our strategy and specialities. My blog talks about self management from afar, class A investing, strategy turning personals into rentals etc. I look forward to getting to know you around the forum.
