New REI from Houston, Texas
Hello BP'ers,
At the start of 2015, after getting married last December, my wife and I sat down and started planning our road map for the next 1, 5, 10 and even 20 years. We have set goals to pay down our debt, live life below our means and invest for our family's future.
I am glad to have stumbled across BP this past May! All the podcasts and learning materials put out on this site are golden! Call it an addiction if you will, but I can't help listening to the podcasts whenever time allows it. Josh and Brandon do an amazing job!
We currently reside in Sugar Land, Texas, which is just right outside of Houston. My wife and I plan on taking the approach described in the article, "A Slow, Boring, Incredibly Awesome Strategy for Building Wealth Through Passive Real Estate Investing" written by @Brandon Turner. We are seeking to find our first home, a multi-family property in Houston, and house hack as coined by BP.
Anyway, enough with the rant. If you are in Houston let's connect! I look forward to interacting with the BP community!

I'm surprised that I was the first to mention this but check out the Meet up thread under network. The meeting is held usually the third Thursday of the month and we are scheduled for next week to see each other again. The meet up is a great way to network and find partners for your future. There is a good mix of newbies and experienced investors and you and your wife are welcomed to join and see what other investors are doing to be successful.
