Hello from Seattle
Hi BiggerPockets!
I'm a Seattleite, and while I have a few RE transactions under my belt, I've only recently changed my mind-set to that of an investor. BiggerPockets has already been an invaluable resource for me, and I'd like to thank you all for being so generous in sharing your hard-earned wisdom in the forums. So many of the questions I've thought of have already been asked and answered.
I've created some goals, and I've given some thought to what I would be able to devote to REI in terms of capital, time and talent. I'm looking for relatively passive strategies because my day job as a tech consultant (which I love) keeps me pretty busy. I'm very interested in meeting other local REIs to continue learning from others and to explore potential partnerships.
Thanks again; see you around the forums.

Hello @Joey Shevelson and welcome to the Bigger Pockets community. It sounds like you have a bit of a leg-up on many new investors if you're already looking to become accredited, my congratulations. If you can shake loose a few hours, there are meet-ups of local investors that happen both in Seattle and on the East-side in the Bellevue-Kirkland area as well as one in Tacoma. These are informal meetings where we all gather up at a restaurant, network and have a drink or two. I would say these would be solid opportunities for you to meet and talk to others.
A couple good guys you could potentially want to talk to are @Brian Fouts and @Ryland Taniguchi. Both are local guys who often work in concert with accredited investors and have built up their own businesses that invest both locally and out of state and partner with others.
Cheers, and happy investing!
