Hello from Washington State

Hello BP community, I'm Andy from Washington State - Seattle area. I stumbled upon this awesome website while gathering information on the internet about real estate acquisition. Though I'm currently more focused on finding land to build a house for my own family to live in, I found REI very interesting. Looking forward to learn so much more from the experts here.

Welcome Andy! I also am new here, I found it looking for reviews on a franchise REI, and so far the info I have found here and the people are awesome! I don't think I'm going to buy the franchise just needed some help on how to get back on the market and I think I found it here.

Thank you all for the warm welcome!

@Dmitriy Fomichenko thank you for the useful tips!

@Ryland Taniguchi I greatly appreciate for the invite, will definitely reach out and connect with you

@Troy Fisher indeed the market today is mind boggling, which makes REI all the more interesting

Hey @Andy K. . Like the others before me, welcome to Bigger Pockets and the Puget Sound real estate investment community.

I guess I'm curious, which neighborhood were you interested in for finding land to build your home? And are you dead set on having raw or scraped land to build your own home, or are you possibly looking at renovations/updates to an existing structure?

Thanks for the warm welcome Alex. Since my plan for this pilot project will be for my own residence, preference-wise I'm currently looking for North Seattle or South Shoreline. For now leaning towards build/rebuild rather than renovation/update.
