Investing newbie from southern Indiana

Hello everyone,

My name is Doug Austin and I am so new to the industry that I'm not sure newbie is a fair adjective.  I have not invested in any real estate except for my primary residence, but have recently got my wife's blessing to look into real estate as means to increase cash flow.  So here I am.  I live in Corydon Indiana which is about 30 miles from Louisville Kentucky.  My day job is in Louisville so I am looking at the entire metro area for investments.   I look forward to cruising this site to expand my knowledge and hopefully build some connections.
