Hi Everyone!

My name is Newt, and I currently reside in Pittsburgh, PA. I'm fairly new to the real estate business and investing, but I'm particularly interested in flipping houses. I do have a full-time job, but I'm hoping to find some colleagues to learn, grow, and work with on the side. I do not own any properties at the moment, but I am working with a real estate agent to explore some potential fixer uppers. For the vets out there, what advice/warnings would you give for those interested in flipping (particularly for the state of Pennsylvania)?

Pleasure meeting you all!

    @Newt Nagata

    Welcome to BP!

    Do you have any renovation experience to apply to flipping?  If you don't, or you have very little, you may consider partnering with a contractor to get your feet wet.  That way, you won't be in way over your head trying to youtube the answer to every question.

    Then you can focus on finding a hard-working, trustworthy contractor with whom to partner.

    This will be an especially attractive proposition to a contractor if you have cash or the ability to obtain the financing to get the deal started.
