New Member from Connecticut
My name is Douglas Cyr. I am new to Real Estate investing. I do however have an extensive background in the construction and inspection fields. I have previously owed a Real Estate Inspection, Construction and Cabinet Companies. I currently reside in Lebanon, Ct. I am currently remodeling my current residence (purchased at a great price!) and work as a Construction Manager. My goal is to acquire some rental properties to add to my retirement portfolio. I joined BP from an on-line search. From what I have gathered so far, it is an amazing site. No hype, just real techniques that are used in the Real Estate business everyday.

It's great to see another new member from Connecticut! There is a ton of information on here, if you haven't already check out the blogs and podcast too! There are also a lot of great local networking events, some coming up next week actually!
There is the BP Meetup next Wednesday at 7pm at Anna Liffeys in Fairfield, and Charlie's Corner which is a weekly breakfast meetup at Valencia in Norwalk every Thursday mornings at 7. There is also the CT REIA which typically meets in Meriden and they put on a few events every month.
