Newbie from Spokane, Wa
My name is Jeff Messee and I am from Spokane, Washington. I don't have a background in real estate but I have always wanted to get started in Flipping Houses and I finally made the decision to go after it. I do have a full time job working for PerkinElmer for the Viacord division. My goal for real estate investing to to build a solid foundation so that I can build a sustainable legacy for my children to take over when I am long gone, (which hopefully will be a long time from now). I was introduced to BiggerPockets when I started reading The Ultimate Beginner's Guide to Real Estate Investing.

Good book, definitely take advantage of all the great podcasts, articles and connections you'll make here. Also check out the local Real Estate Investing clubs in Spokane. I am a member of NEXT GEN REI Club of Spokane. We are one of the oldest and largest REI clubs in Spokane. we meet every 2nd Thursday of the month at 630pm til about 9pm and then on the following Tuesday we play CASHFLOW at 6pm till around 9 30pm. Right now we are finishing up our 2nd day of a three day workshop, Building a legacy for the future. Tomarrow from 9am until around 5pm we will be teaching on tax and legal for your REI business. And Mortgage Acceleration, how to pay off a 30 year mortgage in 7 to 10 years WITHOUT having to pay any more $$$. This will be like nothing you've ever seen before! So consider yourself invited. Just tell the staff checking people in that Gerrit invited you from BiggerPockets. If you can't make it Saturday, come play with us on Tuesday.
