Hey All,

I'm excited to be here to start my investing career in real estate! Born in DC and raised in DC/Alexandria, I've saved enough to start looking for a place to buy. Specifically, I'd like to find a townhouse or something similar to live in and rent out in the following areas (including but not necessarily limited to): Columbia Heights, AdMo, Petworth, Shaw areas. Eventually, I'd like to start my own investing company, but first things first. I look forward to getting to know those on Bigger Pockets!

Welcome to BP @Samuel Raasch. The areas you are looking in are quite competitive.  In the last couple of weeks Ive written offers for clients in Petoworth and Shaw, and we were seeing close to 20 offers on properties.  DC is a very competitive market, however the financial rewards that come with owning in DC are very very enticing.
