New investor from Oslo, Norway
Hi all,
I am new member from Norway, looking to expand my network and knowledge within real estate investing. I am currently taking my masters in Real Estate Economics in Stockholm, but originally from Oslo. Real Estate has been a interest of mine for many years, and my motivation is only growing.
I currently own 1 apartment in Oslo and are looking to expand with one more when I am done with my master. Oslo is a fairly expensive market with low rent to value ratios, so I am looking to new markets to find good investments that will generate better cash flows. If any of you out there has some good experiences to share i will be grateful!
Hope you all have a great Sunday!

Thank you Johnathan!
Norway is indeed a beautiful country, if you are visiting Oslo in the future send me a message some time in advance and I may have a room for free for a shorter stay.
It's hard to find a good deals but scanning the market during the periods of holly days can offer a opportunity to avoid the biding wars. Oslo market is very hot and expensive. Grunerløkka is expensive if you ask me. In my opinion, appealing areas are Grønland, Gamle Oslo, Kværnerbyen, Vålerenga. I know of people investing in the outlying areas at the end of the metro lines, but I would not do it my self and there are many reasons, not for the buy and hold strategy that I have.
I have no clue about Bergen, maybe some other members can answer you on that one?
