Newbie from Kansas City
Hello everyone! I'm Marissa and I'm from the Kansas City area. I'm interested in house hacking a duplex to four-plex, and am a total beginner. My plan is to buy a few of these and hopefully an apartment building down the road. My "why" is to travel the world and spend more time with friends and family. I will be buying sometime this year before October. (Lease is up/ 30th birthday!) That's a good enough reason I think. :)
I'm a commercial architect by trade, specializing in school architecture. I'm not familiar with residential construction (that's my caveat), but I will try to be of service if anyone needs some advice.
So that's basically the sitch! i can't wait to meet all of you on this awesome forum!

Hello @Marissa Carroll. Welcome to BP! House hacking is a great way to start. The forums are an awesome place to get your questions answered, either with your own post, or searching through old threads. Also be sure to check out the Podcast. There are a bunch of them with experienced investors who do multifamily. Like experience in a bottle!
