Nashville (Brentwood) beginner questions

Hello! Thank you for taking the time to read this. My name is Elijah jay Dangerfield. I have been lurking on these forums for about a year, and listening to the podcast for a bit longer. Being a banker, as well as the son of a mortgage broker and real estate agent, I naturally want to get involved. That being said, I have yet to do my first deal, and am looking to get involved before the infamous "paralysis by Analysis". I have however been studying market cycles lately and I want to see what other people have to say about the Nashville and surrounding areas market. As well as any tips for a newbie in the Nashville market with more ambition than money. Thanks again for your time!

Welcome Elijah!

I'm new to this, too. We've had REI in mind for many years; I've listened to podcasts, read blogs and books. But it always seemed like something we'd do "someday" （that being when our kids are in high school and we send them back to the USA for it).

We ended up deciding to do it this year and just closed on first property last week. Now navigating the world of PM. One seemed really good, but now he doesn't seem to want to work with us since we're not local.

So my advice is just jump in. I'm sure, with your background, you know more than the average person and area in a great position, plus you've got lots of reliable people to help you out. 

Remember, you don't know what you don't know...so just take the plunge and learn what you don't know. :)
