Hi all! I'm Jon. By day (and night, often enough), I'm a mortgage and structured finance attorney (secondary market bulk finance and conduit work, not individual properties or mortgages). A couple of my law partners and I are looking to expand our investments from traditional retirement type funds in 401k/ira into the real estate space. We are working on our investment limitations now. Our initial plan is to target 2-4 family homes in northern and central Jersey, plus opportunistic small commercial. All investments will be buy and hold long term, not fix and flip. I also expect to limit to properties that do not need much TLC because we all only have so much time to supervise activities. I currently own a primary home and a secondary that is a combination secondary home and rental in a Florida condotel complex. I am definitely excited to have found BP and look forward to learning with and joining the community.
