Newbie from NYC - Introduction

Hello BP Nation! What an amazing community! 

My name is Daphne and I'm originally from Long Island, NY, currently residing in NYC. My background is in professional Outside Sales (Wall St) and I'm here on Bigger Pockets to learn and participate in the REI business, and to one day pay it back (and forward!). In my free time I play with horses and scuba dive.

My partner Steve and I don't have any experience beyond buying our condo in NYC, which was a pretty hairy experience! However, I've been doing my homework on BP, and attending both NY/NJ REIA meetups. I'm ready to move forward!

I want to do this full time to achieve financial independence, despite living with Lyme Disease. I'd also like to be able to donate a boat load of money to organizations that educate doctors about LD and other tick born illnesses.
