Hello Bigger Pockets family!

My name is Jose Perez and I'm a real estate investing newbie from Atlanta, Ga. I moved to ATL about a year and a half ago and absolutely love it out here and believe there is a lot of opportunity to grow.

I'm originally from Central Florida but changed states in 2016. Since then my wife and I had an adorable baby girl (who turned 1 year old 3 days ago on the 3rd of July) and she is WHY I want to become an investor. I already work from home (Software Engineer for my own small business) but I want more time freedom to spend with my growing family.

I currently am 1 of 3 partners who own a small business that offers software and other services to the Automotive Industry in the Caribbean. But I'm getting tired of sitting in front of a computer all day. I KNOW I will excel in this business because I have always had a passion for it but recently was pushed and motivated by my wife to finally do it.

I have access to some funds (through the company that I part own) so that might be helpful to start up but something inside me tells me to pursue this 100% on my own. (If any of you can give me any advice on this subject I would greatly appreciate it).

I'm attracted to rental property investment and can't wait to own my first MFR (either through my small business, or by myself). I would like to complete 1 flip this year and possible secure an MFR by the end of 2017.

I'm hooked on BP and can't wait to see what the future holds, what kind of deals I can work on with seasoned ATL investors.

Look forward to getting to know you guys,

Jose P.
