Newbie Investor from Maryland

Hi BP!

At the beginning of the year, I decided to make a change in my life and get serious about investing in real estate. I've owned a single rental property for several years now, but until recently have been treating it as a hobby and not as a business.

I can't remember how exactly I found BP, but needless to say once I found this resource I've been devouring all the blogs, forum postings, and podcasts! I have learned such a tremendous amount of information in such a short time thanks to BP.

My initial plan was to focus on building my portfolio by purchasing multifamily homes locally, but the inventory is low in this market (I'm outside of Annapolis, MD).  So I've expanded my search to other counties and towns including Baltimore, Washington, Allegany, and Wicomico. I'm hoping to do at least one to two deals by the end of the year and am currently saving for one or more down payments.

Anyway, enough about me.  I look forward to meeting you all and becoming an active participant in the forums!
