New Member in Naples, FL area

Hi All, I'm a new member in the Naples, FL area. We are just getting to rent a house in Naples and need suggestions for a good real estate friendly CPA and a real estate attorney. I want to make sure we create the best legal entity for protection and tax purposes. I'm just not sure if that will be a LLC or S-corp. I also want to have my contract reviewed.

My next plans are to look for additional properties throughout Lee and Collier Counties in cities such as Naples, Bonita Springs, Estero, Fort Myers, Cape Coral, Immokalee, and Lehigh Acres. Any suggestions on groups meeting in these areas would be great. I'm open to most methods of investing but plan long term to pick up buy and hold properties (if the market is friendly for it).

Hey Tony,

Welcome to BP and SW Florida. My wife and I live in the area and own a rental in Naples. We also just bought a new primary residence in Lehigh. Currently, we are looking for multifamily properties in Cape Coral, Fort Myers area. We have been traveling the country the last two years and are just getting settled back in the area.

Here is one investing group that I'm going to check out that is called SWFL REIA, if you google that their website will come up. They do have a yearly membership but I think I'm going to try and attend one meeting (I believe they have a door charge for non-members) and see what they are all about. If that is a bust I might try and start a local BP group (if there isn't one already I haven't checked). Anyways, welcome and good luck.

I am a member and corporate sponsor of the SWFL Reia group. Top notch...no salesman pitches...good networking and good speaker. Well worth the price of admission.
