Nearly Homeless in Las Vegas

Hello,

I am Kevin Cardinale. I have two opposing mentors for real estate investing. One is an accountant and one is an actual investor,... or so she claims. I live in Las Vegas Nevada. However, my business, web designer and online "D list" personality, dried up with the crash of '08. Noone could / can afford my services and I have been scrounging ever since.

I am currently renting, but according to my female mentor, I am crazy and can do everything she is doing if I "just do it."

Hence me coming to here, to perhaps get a second / third / fourth opinion. I am not one to "just do it". This is after she told me she lost $100k from an entire years' worth of mortgage / rental payments.

 However, I am a [b] guy. So ... imagine me smiling every time I write something.

Kevin, welcome.

I can tell you that it's all about your attitude. This is the advice I got from my accountant 2 weeks before I went fulltime in REI. I wanted some advice as I took the fulltime plunge. "It's all about your attitude". He kept it real simple. Years later when I ran into my own problems I latched onto that advice along with healthy eating (i.e. the selenium in sunflower and pumpkin seeds help give you a positive attitude - no joke), exercising and listening to positive empowering music (I'm a positive hip hop fanatic - check out Dead Prez's 'Refuse To Lose'.)

Embrace the energy you feel is making you "nearly homeless" and turn it into steam to move forward and succeed. I agree with your mentor. "Just Do it". But not just jump in. But get started SOMEWHERE and NOW. Research, learn, network but take action now.

Change your attitude. You are not "nearly homeless". You have a home and you build from there. I have a friend who is paralyzed from the neck down. His "home" has been a physical rehabilitation center for the last 6 years. So when I'm out there building my business and mentoring youth I move, in part, with him in mind, count my blessings and refuse to take anything for granted.

Stay connected to this site and the successes of some of the pros here will inspire you.

All the best Kevin.
