Newbie from Baton Rouge, Louisiana

Hello everyone! Excited to introduce myself on here and get to know you more. My husband and I are just getting into real estate investing after a friend of ours from church and his wife started a flip project and we thought, "wait, we love that kind of stuff...can we really do that too???" I am currently a mental health counselor in Baton Rouge with a studio art background and my husband is a graphic designer. We have two small kiddos, 3 and 1 and are looking for other creative outlets (ones that generate income rather than deplete) as well as grow in our knowledge of real estate for both business and personal interests. I want to do our first BRRR and then once I get my feet wet, maybe look into getting into rentals. Excited to meet some of y'all in person at one of the local meetups and can't wait to glean more knowledge here!
