Lake County IL newbie looking for a community

Hello fellow biggerpockets individuals.  My wife and I bought our first home last summer, with the intention of eventually renting it out, and are currently looking for our next small property to get starting in this world of investing. We are currently pushing and pulling with a seller of a condo in Vernon hills and are either making mistakes or are doing good sticking to our guns. To be honest, I have no idea. Hopefully I'll learn more from this community and meet more people around me that are interested in real estate investing.
