Novice moving to Pittsburgh, PA

Hey everyone!

My name is Jeffrey but I go by Jake. I'll be moving to Pittsburgh from my current residence in Northeastern Florida (Jacksonville area) at the end of this year as I transition out of the military. I'm a complete novice to real estate investing with the exception of having bought the house I currently live in. I'm very excited to educate myself rapidly on the world of real estate investing and to network as much as possible. I'm most interested in buy and hold in the Pittsburgh area with the goal of building enough passive income to be financially independent.

A little background:

I'm originally from Northern Virginia and graduated from WVU before joining the navy. I love to read and write and do anything outdoors. I currently work in Nuclear Engineering but am looking to switch fields as I transfer out.

Looking forward to connecting!

Thanks for your service. Yes, Pittsburg can be a great place to invest. Remember, don't buy anything that does not cash flow. Get a good mentor and get going. Best of luck to you!
