Newbie from Northeast, Ohio
Hi everyone,
My name is Shawn and I'm from Medina, Ohio. I purchased my first home with help from my Dad at the age of 25. Currently, I have been working at a hospital for the past four years. My 2019 goal was to pay off my student loans ($15,500) in a year. I worked a part time at a Lowe's Home Improvement store for the past year (65-75 hours per week). I am now debt free. I am not happy at my current job and I was trying to find my niche. As of December, I have signed up to get my real estate license and will become a full time real estate agent at the end of May 2020.
I love to read and read a few books from Gary Keller and other financially focused books. I stumbled upon BiggerPocket podcast while searching for real estate podcast on Spotify, which is why I'm here. My goal is to become a successful real estate agent and build a real estate investment portfolio in the next five years.
Besides real estate, I'm a type 1 diabetic. I'm a former track & field all american sprinter and love to stay active. I rock climb, whitewater kayak and mountain bike. I love meeting new people and connecting to people who strive to be the best person they can be.

@Shawn Cordes Welcome! I am new to BP as well. I live in Columbus, OH. I just started listening to the podcasts recently. Currently on esp. 32 over 300 to go lol. Your interests are pretty cool.
