Hello REI world! I'm new!

Hey all!

I’m a devote husband, obsessed father, TCU grad, and Army veteran. I previously worked for a city government, but decided to get my realtors license and specialize in Investment Properties (rentals & fixer uppers).

Currently working for a wholesaler, but soon to be flipping homes too! Loving Real Estate so far because I can network with other like-minded investors, learn the trade, and discover all these great properties to be flipped!

2021 goals are to get my feet wet flipping homes, owning rentals, and explore AirBnB options.  Want to build that portfolio up, especially in mountain retreat type areas, beach & tropical type areas, and other foreign destinations so my me and my family can escape once in a while ;)

Hey @A. Bryce Davis !

Welcome to BiggerPockets! I was a TCU Horned Frogs fan for about 2 years, my good friends brother was the QB but once he left I'm not the biggest fan anymore. ha

You have hit the JACKPOT of resources for real estate investors. You can literally find answers to all of your questions within the confines of this site. What’s the best way to get started using BiggerPockets?

1.Subscribe to the BiggerPockets Money and Rookie Podcasts

2.Attend the FREE WEBINARS

3.Attend a Meetup in Your Area / virtual meet ups

4.Purchase the Beginner Books: How to Invest in Real Estate, Set for Life, The House Hacking Strategy

5.Peruse the forums! Ask questions! Answer Questions! If you are consistent with learning real estate over the next 4-6 months, you’ll be ready to purchase your first (or next) property in NO TIME!

Good luck,

Chad

First off I would like to thank you for your service.

Congrats on not only taking the steps to get into real estate from a licensed agent standpoint but also on being motivated to take the leap and get into investing.

My advice would be to start off with one of the investment types you mentioned first as there is a lot to know and learn for each investment type and the last thing you want to do is overwhelm yourself and be spread to thin thinking about to many different types of investments that you forget to actually invest.

Best of luck in your new venture.

Welcome to the site! Congratulations on getting that license and getting the REI ball rolling. Hope you and your family find some great vacation spots, and wishing you the best of luck with work as well. Cheers
